As the former chief product officer at Automated FruitScout (AFS) and product lead at Semios, Ian has extensive experience developing cutting-edge AI, machine learning, and computer vision technologies to revolutionize sustainable food production. His leadership has been instrumental in transforming visionary concepts into commercially successful solutions that address critical agricultural challenges.
Ian's career includes key roles at PMC-Sierra, Vision Critical, Fathom Systems and INETCO Systems, where he led product, marketing, and engineering teams in pushing the boundaries of technological innovation.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Ian is deeply involved in fostering innovation and talent within the BC agritech ecosystem. As part of the BC Centre for Agritech Innovation (BCCAI), he plays a pivotal role in scaling companies, commercializing breakthrough products and mentoring future leaders.
