In January 2025, Greta Thunberg joined Sahrawi climate activists in Tindouf, Algeria, where the activists spoke about the interconnected struggles against colonization and the climate catastrophe from Sweden to the Sahara, and beyond. For them, 鈥済reening鈥� the status quo is futile; climate justice is the only approach capable of confronting the entanglement of colonialism, capitalism, and the climate catastrophe. The Sahrawi Solidarity Summit was organized by Solidarity Rising and cosponsored by the Centre for Comparative Muslim Studies.
