Embark Sustainability, the Centre for Comparative Muslim Studies, and Spheres of Influence e-zine hosted a presentation on the mutually reinforcing effects of the climate crisis, colonialism, occupation, and forced displacement on the Sahrawi people of northwest Africa.

Speaker:

Parsa Alirezaei is a research assistant at the Centre for Comparative Muslim Studies. He’s a former intern at the International Court of Justice. He’s also a researcher and assistant coordinator of the Law of the Sea Working group at Law for Palestine. Primarily, he’s interested in the study of national self-determination movements in modern MENA/SWANA.
