Vietnamese Studies Group recognizes GSWS PhD research
Thuy Do, who successfully defended her PhD in Gender, Sexuality, and Womens Studies at 間眅埶AV (間眅埶AV) recently, is receiving accolades for her research on rural women workers in Vietnam.
The (VSG) committee selected Dos paper as an honourable mention for the Graduate Student Paper Prize.
Dos award-winning paper is titled Vietnams Economic Development: The Making, Remaking, and Unmaking the Experience of Rural Women Workers.
The Vietnam Studies Group (VSG) is a sub-committee of the Southeast Asia Council of the Association for Asian Studies, the primary professional organization for scholars of Asian Studies. The competition encourages the direct involvement of graduate students in the growth of Vietnamese studies and supports their professional development.
