Agricultural Action Genomics Centre (AG-ACt)

Lupin Battersby co-leads AG-ACt, a knowledge mobilization and implementation hub with the University of Guelph and the Global Institute for Food Security at the University of Saskatchewan. AG-ACt aligns and supports knowledge mobilization strategies and activities across nine interdisciplinary challenge teams to bridge knowledge generation and implementation.

This unique and inspired approach to supporting knowledge to action is funded by as part of their Climate Smart Agriculture and Food systems program. 

Knowledge Mobilization and EDI

Recognizing the interconnection of equity, diversity, and inclusion and knowledge mobilization, the KM Hub is piloting a specialist role that is supporting ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s three Canada Excellence Research Chairs. Bringing an EDI lens to all aspects of knowledge mobilization and vice versa has the potential to expand the positive impact of the EDI and KM activities of these three researchers and beyond.  

This role will ensure that research leaders at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV are creating inclusive research environments that will drive innovative solutions to effect positive change in our local and global communities.

Research Impact Canada (RIC) is a pan-Canadian network committed to maximizing research impact for the public good. RIC builds knowledge mobilization capacity by offering trainings, and a national, bilingual community of practice for its 40 member institutions. RIC's website also hosts a large library of knowledge mobilization resources.

As a RIC-member, ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV gets 10 free spaces at , RIC's 8-week beginner knowledge mobilization course offered annually in June and July. Missed out on the summer program? The KM Hub hosts an institutional program called MobilizeU at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV annually mid January - mid March.
