Educational Practice
The master of education in educational practice (MEd EP) is a professional degree signifying advanced knowledge and training in educational practice. This program is for educators who seek professional growth through explorations into their instructional practice. Students will critically examine current educational theory, research and practice, while gaining tools that are applicable to daily classroom practice.
As per Graduate General Regulations 1.7.7c, students who successfully complete the graduate diploma in advanced professional studies in education (GDE) can carry forward 15 units of laddering credit from their GDE.

Program Requirements
This program consists of courses and a comprehensive examination for a minimum of 37 units.
Students must complete
Graded on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis.

Explores the landscapes of practitioner inquiry, including its histories, affiliated paradigms and approaches, as well as ethical considerations. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the MEd in Educational Practice program.

This course introduces students to qualitative research in education and examines topics such as identifying problems, using conceptual frameworks, coding, data analysis, drawing interpretations, and constructing arguments.

The examination is graded on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis.
The comprehensive examination normally occurs in the term in which course requirements are completed.
Program Length
Students are expected to complete the program requirements within six terms, unless applying 15 units of laddering credits from the GDE, in which case, program length may be three terms.
