Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Beedie School of Business?

¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Beedie School of Business stands out for its strong reputation and rigorous academic environment, which was what I was looking for. What attracted me most, however, was finance professor, Peter Charles Klein. During my junior year of college, I took an economics course that required writing a paper on how corporate governance impacts stock performance. At the time, I had limited knowledge of stocks and capital markets. While researching, I discovered one of Professor Klein’s articles, which transformed my understanding of stocks and introduced me to foundational financial concepts. His work greatly inspired me and ignited my interest in the financial industry. Since then, I’ve wanted to meet him and have a conversation.

What has been your moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?

My experience at Beedie so far has been incredibly rewarding. In the nearly two months that I’ve been here, I’ve been impressed by how patient and supportive the professors are. They’ve not only helped me deepen my understanding of financial concepts but have also given me the confidence to apply this knowledge practically. I’m looking forward to expanding my financial expertise further and actively participating in more school activities. I’m excited to meet more peers, build lasting friendships, and support each other throughout our academic journey.

How would you describe ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Beedie’s culture?

In my view, the culture at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Beedie emphasizes generosity and collaboration, where people are encouraged to support each other selflessly. This creates a cooperative environment where trust and connections are built through both formal and informal interactions. Social activities play a key role in strengthening relationships, enhancing teamwork, and fostering an inclusive atmosphere. This culture not only promotes individual growth but also cultivates a sense of belonging through shared experiences.
