As winners of the 2024 Student Learning Commons Undergraduate Writing Contest (SLC-UWC), Aryan Sharifi and Sheridan Nix, who are currently in their second year, were recently published in the SLC-UWC Journal. We are pleased to announce that both winning papers were written for political science courses.

Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Dean’s Undergraduate Fellow and political science graduand, Emmanuel Adegboyega, now adds the title of ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV (¶¡ÏãÔ°AV) student speaker to his already extensive resume. Adegboyega will be giving student address at the convocation ceremony on Thursday, June 12.

Yui Fujiki had no formal background in political science or international relations. Being a student of English literature, the idea of transitioning to these fields was intimidating to her at first. But through determination and hard work, she not only succeeded but found clarity in her academic direction.
